Dr Ross McGregor
BVSc MANZCVSc (Small Animal Surgery)
Ross graduated in Bachelor of Veterinary science in 1989. He worked in England for a year in mixed practice before Starting his Small Animal and later an Equine specialist clinic in South Africa.
In 2002 Ross moved to Australia and the following year became a member of the Australia and New Zealand college of veterinary Scientist in Small animal surgery. He worked at Sydney University Veterinary teaching hospital as a surgical registrar prior to starting Bilgola Veterinary clinic in 2006.
Ross has recently completed 5 years training as a resident in Small Animal specialist surgery. During this period he researched the treatment of cruciate ligament disease in dogs and the effect of Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) treatment .
Ross is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for your pets at Bilgola Veterinary Clinic by ensuring we have the most caring and qualified staff, utilise the most modern equipment and continuously perform ongoing veterinary education.
Dr Emilie Field
Emilie graduated with a degree in Veterinary Science from Murdoch University in 2011 and her passion for small animal medicine landed her a veterinarian role at Success Veterinary Hospital in Western Australia that same year. After several years living and working in Perth, Emilie and her family made the move back to the Northern Beaches in April 2015 and we are thrilled to have her on board here at Bilgola.
Emilie enjoys the diversity of general practice and is committed to providing a high quality of care to her patients. A very warm and compassionate vet, Emilie has a strong belief that every pet should be treated like family, and she brings this kind-hearted attitude with her when caring for our sick patients.
When not at work, Emilie can often be seen walking her two Spoodles Teddy and Koko around Bilgola.
Dr Chelia Law
BVSc MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery)
Chelia graduated from The University of Sydney in 2015 and jumped straight into a busy small animal practice on the Central Coast before undertaking a year long surgical internship at North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre. Her internship allowed her to work alongside some very experienced specialist Veterinarians and gain skills and knowledge in areas such as soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and advanced imaging. She continued to work in the General Practice and Emergency and Critical Care department before coming to Bilgola Vet Clinic in early 2020.
She is currently pursuing continuing education in surgery and hopes to become a surgical specialist. Outside of work, Chelia likes to travel, hang out with friends and work on her craft projects.
Dr Helen Todd
Helen graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, London in 2015. After working in a busy practice in England, Helen emigrated to Australia in 2017 to soak up the Northern Beaches lifestyle. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and is passionate about providing the highest standard of care for her patients.
Helen has a strong interest in emergency work, splitting her time between Bilgola and Northside Emergency Veterinary Services (NEVS), so you may see a friendly face at NEVS if your pet ever needs 24 hour care.
Helen has undertaken many extended trips overseas to volunteer her veterinary skills including to Samoa and The Cook Islands and has many plans to continue to put her skills to good use abroad.
