Natalie Higgs
Practice Manager

 

Natalie completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Ultimo TAFE in November 2016 and began at Bilgola Vet in 2015.
Natalie is a foster carer for the RSPCA and a licenced wildlife carer with WIRES. When she is not working, she is out rescuing and rehabilitating native wildlife. 

Nat regularly has all kinds of native animals in her care - she loves treating Australian wildlife and her plethora of knowledge about these creatures makes Nat an asset to our nursing staff! 
 
At home, Nat has a Kelpie X called Kody and two rescue Domestic Short Hair cats named Indigo and Chewy.

Emily Dimos
Head Nurse

 

Emily is a certificate IV qualified Veterinary Nurse who has been working as a nurse on the Northern Beaches for 5 years and joined the Bilgola team early in 2019.
She started her career in animal care at Taronga Zoo’s training institute completing her certificate II in animal studies, and shortly after completed her veterinary nursing degree.
Emily enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but has a keen interest in anaesthesia, surgery and stress free handling. She is an accredited mental health first aid officer.
Emily has a Poodle X named Polly who keeps her busy in her spare time.

 

Lily Hooper
Veterinary Nurse

 

Lily is currently studying veterinary science at Sydney University and will graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
She joined the Bilgola Vet team in 2018 working as a veterinary nurse and loves getting to know and looking after all the gorgeous animals that come into the clinic. 

At home Lily has two lovely cats (Magpie and Bellamy) and a very naughty chocolate lab called Bear.

Hayley Brent

Trainee Veterinary Nurse
 

Hayley is currently studying a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Ultimo Tafe and will be qualified in August 2022.
Hayley joined the Bilgola team in late 2019 and is enjoying learning how to provide the best care possible to all the wonderful animals that visit the clinic.

 

When not at work, Hayley's passion is snowboarding. Multiple times a year she travels nationally and internationally to snowboard.

At home Hayley has a dog named Charlie and a cat named Zorro who she loves spending her spare time with.

 

Jasmine Bain

Trainee Veterinary Nurse
 

Jasmine’s love for animals started when completing her Certificate II in Animal Studies back in 2019. Jasmine is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at the Australian College of Veterinary Nursing.

Before pursuing her dream to become a Vet Nurse, Jasmine hit the dirt roads and travelled around Australia. Coming across never-ending Australian Wildlife on her travels, her passion for wildlife grew.

Jasmine has little Lexi, the Portuguese Podengo and Bailey the rescued ginger cat.

 

Ruby Edwards

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Ruby grew up in Northern New South Wales but moved down to Sydney’s Northern Beaches in 2017.
Originally Ruby worked in management in Pet shops but has transitioned into Veterinary Nursing and found this is where her passion lies.
Ruby is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and looks forward to expanding her skills particularly in emergency nursing.

She has a Chihuahua x Mini Foxy called Will who she adores!
